About Us

Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King (F.M.C.K.)

The Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King (F.M.C.K.) is a congregation of Catholic women religious founded in 1937 in Karachi by Mother Bridget Sequeira and Msgr. Salesius Lemmens, O.F.M. Inspired by the spirit of St. Francis of Assisi and the kingship of Christ, we are called to serve the poor, the suffering, and the marginalized with joy, simplicity, and compassion.

Our mission is rooted in the Gospel and animated by the love of Christ that urges us to go where the need is greatest. Whether in urban slums or rural villages, classrooms or hospital wards, orphanages or homes for the elderly—we serve as instruments of peace and healing.
