Celebrating 90 Years of FMCK: Portiuncula, Old Goa

The Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King (FMCK) gathered at Portiuncula, the Generalate in Old Goa, to begin celebrating their 90th Jubilee Year. The event honored nine decades of dedicated service under the theme "Grateful for the Past, Renewed for the Future."

Holy Mass

The celebration opened with a Holy Mass (Eucharistic liturgy) filled with prayer, hymns, and music. During the Mass, the sisters offered gifts to honor their founders, Monseigneur Salesius Lemmens and Mother Bridget Sequeira.

Logo Unveiling and Prayer

Following the Mass, the community gathered for a special prayer service.

Sr. Fatima Rodrigues then unveiled the official 90th-anniversary logo with prayer.

Release of the History Book

The event concluded with the release of the book History of The Franciscan Missionaries of Christ the King, Vol. II (1995–2020) by the Superior General Sr. Fatima Rodrigues, Asst. General Sr. Elma Joseph in the presence of the General and Provincial Councillors and many FMCK Sisters who came from various communities in Goa, Belgaum and Karwar.

This special celebration at Portiuncula marks a joyful start to 90 years of faith, love, and service.
